Consultation: 15-20 Minutes

Our initial consultation will involve discussion about what you would like to address in therapy and what you are looking for in a therapist. The main goal will be to mutually determine whether this is a good fit and go from there.

First Session: 55+ Minutes

Our first session together will be all about getting to know each other and coming up with some initial ideas of how to move forward. This typically involves discussion about your symptoms or struggles, history, relationships, interests, strengths, and goals. My priority, however, is to make sure you are comfortable, and you will not be compelled to talk about anything that you are not ready to share. I understand it takes time to get comfortable with a new person, and I offer space and time for things to unfold naturally.

Regular Sessions: 55 Minutes

Over time we will develop a practical plan to practice new behaviors and incorporate tools that can help you feel grounded, confident, and more in control. We will regularly check in to track your progress and update your goals as needed. Therapeutic goals are flexible, and the subject matter of ongoing therapy will be determined by your circumstances and what you feel is necessary to prioritize at any given time.

Session Frequency:

The frequency of sessions is your decision, and may change over time. Typically, most folks find that they prefer to meet weekly in order for therapy to be effective, especially in the early stages. Consider what makes most sense for your schedule and your goals in therapy, and I will accomodate accordingly.
